Do the C6s not suffer this problem?

The third member is much better reinforced on the C6's. What happens if you get a split second of wheel hop (and I mean a split second) and the third member which connects the transaxle to the transmission will split, and allow the axles to vibrate the diff until it breaks free, then it flys around with the axles and snaps off your mainshaft in your transmission. It all happens in less than a second.

Aren't C6's dry sump?

I thought only the Z06 was dry sump.

I missed part of that thread I guess. I thought they were talking about z06's and then talked about the c6. So I assumed they meant the oiling on the c6 z06. But looks like they were talking about suspension

But you are correct the c6 z06 is dry the base vette is not

they just had a weak diff. in 08 the c6 got a beefed up diff and the tr6060 (if manual).

Yes they did, they were better than C5's for sure, but not "fixed" in my opinion until '08 as previously mentioned. The C6 z06 is the dry sump car, I think the grand sport may be dry sump, but I could very well be wrong about that.

Yeah Marc & Justin are giving the Exterior a complete overhaul, It sat out in a Cow Pasture for 4 years & it took a beating. The Rat and my Red IROC are the only cars I have a emotinal attachment too that I wont ever sell. But thanks for the Props. I want to own a Mystic one day like yours! I have always been a fan of the 96 Mystic Cobras, When I get one I just want it to be SUPER CLEAN
