A few years ago I was at the Texaco at E. Berry and Poly Freeway (287) getting gas.
        Fixed.

              That shit is ridiculous.

There is a lady of color who parks her car right after a bridge on Cooks Ln on the shoulder, quite often, and asks for gas money. I don't even stop anymore. Figured it out when I offered a cell phone twice to call for assistance.

guess growing up in east d and p.g. i know to never trust ANYONE who walks up to you at a gas station or any common place off the highway. it seems that's how most people get rolled cause they often dont know the area. that's why when one walks up to me i just saw no or shake my head no and they know to leave me alone. last one ignored me and kept walking right up to me. i took a step back and faced him, put my hand in my pocket and said no again, this time a lot louder. he realized what the fuck was about to happen and backed up with his hands in the air saying "dont shoot me essay..." i quickly replied with "i aint your fucking essay so dont walk up on me"

this was at the shell off of 30 and winslow at 3am lol

I grew up in the sticks and know these things. I just think some people are too nice for their own good.

Same exact thing just happened the other night to me. I was walking my girlfriend out to her car and some clown about 16-18 rode up on a bike and asked for a dolla. I did have my 38 in my pocket and reached for that as I said "Naw Man!" He sat on his bike and said nothing and reached into his pocket which made me nervous and pulled out and lit up a cigar or cigarette. He doesn't know how close he was to being drawn down on. Reading this just makes me want to carry something with more than 5 shots.

Guy ran out of gas and was pounced on. Unless he ran out of gas in his own neighborhood, how could it be revenge? Or are we talking Trayvon?

I grew up/ live in white suburba and I even know dont ask for shit, dont give out shit. I have a pissed off look on my face all the time anyways, so I dont get hassled much. When I do, I say no, quickly and abruptly, they get the picture. I tell my two baby girsl, trust no one. If someone is gonna beat, robbed or murdered, I'm going to make sure it's not me or my family.

Dang. All of these gangster ass stories and now I feel compelled to tell another one.

In South Florida just about every highway exit has bums crawling with it asking for money. If you live there for more than a year you are basically immune to it and don't look twice.

Generally what I have encountered with the bums down there is they just want money for drugs. Some may want it because they truly are starving but they want drugs. The few instances I have chipped them a cheeseburger or offered food I see them throw it in the trash or into the street when I drive off.

One day we were driving home, exited the highway and hit a red light. Oh look, a bum asking for money. The bum approached and asked for a few dollars. My dad immediately said no. Now the bum didn't like this because he noticed he had several dollars in change on his dash (he usually kept spare change near the dash for sodas and whatnot). The bum decided he wasn't going to have any of that so he decided to reach into the fucking truck and reach for the change. My dad socked him in the nose and drove off...

Pretty humorous if you ask me..
