    Hahahahahahah!
I'm pretty sure they would actually obey them in Singapore, for fear of eleventy billion lashes with the cane.

You would be amazed. A common practice there is to actually anticipate the lights, so the cars start rolling from a red light when they think the light is going to turn green. Fortunately, the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been had that happened in this case.

The driver of the Ferrari, the driver of the taxi cab, and the passenger in the taxi cab all died. There are news reports going around in Singapore that some guy off the street ran up to the cab and was stealing money out of the passenger in the cab's purse while she was trapped in the car.

I know that intersection quite well and there is a lot of construction going on right there, and it is a busy area during the daytime. It was on my way home from the airport and even late at night can be quite busy.

I'm sure quite a bit has changed since I was there last...in 1997. Even then, it wasn't the spotless, crime-free nirvana that people would have you believe. Better than most countries in Asia though.

Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

the ferrari looks as if it took that pretty well, honestly can't imagine why it killed the driver unless a.) something came into the car with him, or b.) no seat belt.

That's what I was thinking. But then again, how safe can a carbon fiber car really be? I've never seen the data but I would guess a Ferrari probably isn't very safe in a collision.

Not a bit surprised someone would run up and steal from the passenger. It happened to a buddy of mine down near Austin after he was involved in a serious collision.
