It's not the easiest to find videos of these cars with good sound clips. They had individual throttle bodies which is what I'm told helps give them their unique exhaust note. I don't know too much about the motors they used.

I doubt it's the individual TB's responsible for the sound though. Looks like a Cleveland based SBF. EFI, a high RPM cam, and sky high compression will yield a siren song like that
