Here are some renders someone did to show what a BRZ/FRS convertible could look like:
Subaru's main point of contention with a convertible right now is the R&D it would take for them to get a convertible up to their internal safety standards. The R&D for a turbo version is pretty much already done as far as the drivetrain is concerned - all they would have to do is take the WRX drivetrain and turn it into RWD instead of AWD.
