It looks REALLY weird seeing the Parroquia from that modern vantage. Last time I was there I stayed at Casa Riley which is one of about a thousand rental properties. The maid lost my Hamb shirt!!

ya, he had to bring his architect in from mexico city (actually found him after eating in a restaurant that the guy built in queretaro), since nobody in san miguel could (or possibly would) build a contemporary. it is behind a 20+ft wall with his other two properties (also fairly contemporary), with just a huge wooden gate that you can see from the street. just like most places in SMA, you'd have no idea what is behind it.

the parroquia looks even better from the rooftop jacuzzi though (4 floors up + the being built on the side of a mountain)

One of my fathers clients was Greyhound, so I could get free tickets where ever. Buddy of mine and I thought it would be fun to bus it to SMA, not the smartest idea for 2 highly white non-Spanish speakers! It was interesting to wake up in the middle of the night at some bus station, they blurt out a bunch of Spanish and half the bus gets up and gets off, this happened multiple times, how we ended up where we were supposed to be I will never know!
