I was all about accurate cuts, through and through welds, proper bracing, etc. and this was just for a front panel modification. (No safety, barely looks.) Barron kept saying "You're putting WAY to much effort into this. This is LEMONS!!" My interpretation, "If you're not having fun, or drinking beer, then you're doing something wrong!". (Obviously, no barley pops during the race.)
We drink beer all the time when we work on the LeMons cars. Mostly when doing suspension or brake work.

Perhaps I need to rephrase what I said because I did not mean to imply working on the car isn't fun, nor "dry".

You are absolutely correct, I have made zero. And you don't see me trying to dispute information being provided by someone who has run multiple cars, at multiple events, and who is speaking from actual experience.

You are.. Hence the assessment that you are talking out of your ass.

So you have ran at Lemons or comparable 24 hour, $500 limit event? If so then my comment clearly did not apply to you.. I did not assume, I disclaimed. Notice the IF in my statement..

              Reading comprehension pwns you.

                              • we had a brake issue that was intermittent and hard to figure out. Occationally, the pedal would fall without resistance and it would have very little to no brakes. That happened twice in practice, we swapped out the master for a reman, and flushed the fluid. We also put some heat sheilds in place in case it was a heat sink issue. It had happened after a couple hours on the track, but 5 laps in it happened again.

Got hit hard in the right rear, the whole car is wrinkled and twisted. The eng is salvageable, not sure on the rear end or the trans yet.

It was very fast. We only got 5 laps in but went from 42nd place when the green dropped to 5th in those 5 laps. It was one of the fastest cars out there, and given the chance, we would have seen some nice lap times. Ive been looking around for a good roller to drop this stuff in. Id really like a Zephyr or Cougar or some fox that you dont often see.
