This is terrible. Is the ball really that important to these adults? They should be banned from the park.

Hats off to the Rangers team for giving him a ball though.

Um how was that bad, it was up for grabs. Shit if someone throws me a ball I would keep it too. I've never caught a ball at the ballpark.

And the pussification of America continues.

So just because the kid cries, he gets the ball? I spoil the hell out of my kids and had the ball not come to us, too bad.

Cool of them to toss him a ball though. Wonder what that guys wife is going to say when she sees him with his girlfriend?

They were so caught up in themselves they didn't even seem to notice that lil boy at all. I'm glad to see there were some other good people sitting close by to give him a ball and make his day.

I have a fucking relatable story. Gather 'round.

The year was 2006. It was June, and I was on mid tour leave from my first trip to Iraq.
It was very important to me, while I was home, to do American ('merican) things. I wanted to go to a Ranger game badly. I went with my gf, the first love my life. I had a new appreciation for even the slightest everyday things. This was the first ball game I went to as an adult, and we were sitting next to a family of 5. I was having a blast, being with my girl, and eating a ballpark hotdog. We had seats on the rail of the second deck, and like most new baseball fans, the entire time I sit there hoping a ball would come my way. Then, it happens. SMACK. Foul ball is coming right for me. I stand up, and snatch that son of a bitch out of the air. Seriously a high point in my life. My life at that moment couldn't have gotten any better... and then I hear it. "Give it to the kid!" Referring to the kid next to me. With little hesitation I looked down and handed it to a kid who was probably about 3-4 years old.

I immediately, and still to this day regret that. Usually I'm a kind, and giving person,(although actions on this board may lead some to draw other conclusions) but at that moment I wanted that damned ball for myself. I would have an an incredible memory attached to it, while this kid is probably going to forget about it on the way home while it rides around in the floorboard for 6 months and eventually winds up in the family dog's mouth.
Damn kid should grow up and catch his own balls.

Apparently giving it the kid is a common (or not so much) thing?

My guess is that baseball will end up in the trash as a reminder that he fucked another woman when he was married.

putting a smile on a childs face is priceless. that said if my kid start crying like a little bitch like that because he wanted the ball and someone gave it to him i would throw the ball back on the field.

                              god bless.
