Nice man! You've just travelled more on this trip than most of the world's population will ever travel.

How long did you spend in Barcelona? We spent 4-5 days there last year this exact time and it was awesome. I think we saw 90% of the city in that short period but we were moving from sun up to sun down.

Where was your hotel there? We were 1 street over from La Ramblas and our room did not look near as nice as yours but was expensive as hell.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

We stayed at Hotel Barcelona Universal. We were there for 3 days and did a TON of walking. We have been averaging 5-6 miles of walking a day. I actually had to buy some new shoes in Rome because my old shoes were killing my feet.

This trip has been amazing but looooong. I was honestly ready to come home after South Africa (2 week mark), but now Im happy we stopped at the other countries on the way home. Everything has been great except Paris. We leave for home tomorrow with a 3 day journey home. The ONLY way this trip was possible was credit card/airline miles. We cashed in 500,000 miles for $30k in airfare.

                        Vittoriano Square

                        Made it to Athens:
Best hotel we have ever stayed in. Its a small bed and breakfast called "O and B Hotel". The service was amazing. Nicest people we have met in Europe
                        Room:

                        Bathroom

Complementary welcome gift... Olives, Feta Cheese, Rusks, Sundried Tomatoes and 2 shots of Ouzo which is the traditional Greek alcohol.

                        Acropolis

Acropolis Museum... BEAUTIFUL architecture and design. The exhibits were 2nd to the design of the building.
Glass floor to see the excavations below

There is a rock formation that you can view Acropolis from the front and a view of the city from the side

                          Acropolis Museum entrance at night:

View of Parthenon from a small Greek restaurant Strofi

So we just happened to be in the right place at the right time....The 2012 Olympic torch relay was today in Athens. Police everywhere...

                            Greek police doin' their thing

Now they roll around like this all the time regardless of the situation. We saw to male cops riding homo for the last 3 days we have been here. Today there was an abundance of cops and not everyone had a gun. about 75% of the guys carried guns, 50% wore bullet proof vests. The swat teams and the military was in town for the torch relay. Saw a few guys with MP5s, police in full riot gear, swat team buses.

                              Pics of the torch relay...

By far the coolest part of the month long trip. Once in a lifetime opportunity. My fiance was able to hold one of the olympic torches from the relay and get a picture.

Tomorrow evening we are off to London for a brief 16 hours. Hope to see the big sights of architecture and then we are flying to NY on Saturday. Back home Sunday.
