  • New felt on the pool table

I had green simonis on it previously and the rails were dead. New k66 rails, new simonis 860 HR felt, tournament blue. The pockets are 4 1/8-4 1/4 inches (brutal). Previously the pockets were 4 1/2 inches.

We just got done so I only hit balls on it for about 20 minutes, but I tell ya, its tough. You have to hit the back of the pocket or the ball wont go.

Looks good man. How many hours did it take you?

Last time I felted mine I swore never again. The table itself wasn't bad, but the rails sucked ass...

Looks nice! When I had mine done, the guy was a lot faster than what I expected. Those rails and pockets come right off. I guess when you do 3 or 4 a day for 20 years, you get pretty good at it. Hell, I can barely wrap a birthday present, so I'm out when it comes to doing my own.

Are there ripples by the side pockets or is it some weird lighting effect?

Thanks for the compliments guys ! I quit playing about 6 years ago and the table was just taking up space so I decided to get it in in top condition and try to get back into it like I used to be.

No it's not a 9ft gold crown, it's an Olio pro series. An exact copy of a gold crown right down to the type of wood used and the hardware. Just as expensive too. I've played on a lot of gold crowns over the years and this table plays as good as the best GC, IMO.

no they are not ripples, it's tight. I don't know why it looks like that to be honest. It's almost like its discolored a little. It's noticeable from a distance but not when you down shooting.

I have that and a couple other issues im going to have the guy come back and fix. Over all he did an excellent job, especially on the pockets.

Did he use glue or did staple it?

It looks kickass, and I also saw the ripples but maybe they will dissapear after some play.

Staples. A little glue at the pocket openings.

Thanks and that's what I am hoping. I'm going to talk to him about it.

I don't used a brush anymore. I use the Simons x-1. I'm thinking maybe it was the way it was stretched. We'll see how it does and then do whatever needs to be done if it doesn't fade away.
