    Picked up a new Gas Getter

    1999 Corvette FRC with 86,000 Miles, Very Clean I would give the Exerior a 9 & Interior a 7.5

    I had been pricing Imports & looking for something fun & quick that would get decent gas mileage between driving from Garland to my place in Royse City & picking up my daughter on the weekends out in Scurry. Well I researched Imports like GSRs & Hondas & I just couldnt bring myself to drive one everyday. Plus they all where getting right at 35mpg Hwy & mids 20s in town.

    Then a Buddy said have you ever considered a Vette, He said the FRC & Z06s are known for getting 30+ mpg. Well I took his advice & now a Proud Vette Owner.

    Nice. I'd love to get an FRC, especially in Arctic white out Nassau blue.

              C5 General - highest mpg on my 2000 frc - achieved my best this weekend from N.E.PA. to Dover Del. 390 miles round trip at 28.67 per. better than our 4 cyl camry. :flag:

                    Yep... all true too. I saw a best of 25 on a tank average with mine (all highway and cruise control). It was fun to watch the current MPG readings go to 99 when you pushed in the clutch and coasted down the highway. LOL

                        Lmao, hope the retirement/savings accounts are doing well.

                        Congrats, nice ride. I got 31 mpg 100% highway on numerous occasions in the z06.

                          Mine did. Had a 99 red FRC identical to the OPs. Every time I drove it I took it past 100 for at least part of the drive. When I traded it in my overall average was 28.2 MPG. On my first two tanks when breaking it in I averaged 32.4 MPG.
                          It was one of the best mileage cars I ever owned. Only car I had that got better mileage was a Festiva. LOL
                          Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
