Good point, Matt. Robert, are you really going to fork out that much cash for just a track car, or is this thing going to see regular driving duty?

I can probably give you some advice on what to buy and what to stay away from once you get a car and start setting it up for the track. Starting with a wrecked car is fine, just get it on a frame machine and get it straight before you start welding a cage or sfcs in it. Depending on how far you want to gut the car, a flood car is fine as 90% of the wiring will be removed if you gut the interior, install a race pack dash, etc.

Coyote aluminator 6,950
coyote 5.0 $6,000
alternator package $250.00
control package $1,400
moroso oil pan$453
block plate $17.00
p/s bracket $250
longtubes about $580
A wrecked 5.0 that can drive onto a trailer can be had for a little more. I would have a super fast fox, but it's still not what I've had my heart set on from the time I saw my first '11. After driving a '12 it was solidified. I know a Fox with good suspension and a coyote drivetrain would run circles around an S197, but it's not what I want.
