I'm a traxxas fan. I own three of them. I treat them like shit and have only had to replace some tires and a trans thanks to a failed reverse servo.
      revo or t-maxx?
i would have to go look again but i think i still have the record for the fastest all traxxas jato

        3.3 revo, and two jatos. A 2.5r and a 3.3.

They are mostly stock besides some spring changes and shock fluid.

my first RC car was a T-maxx like a month after they came out.

modified it later that year with TWIN RB12 engines. That thing hauled but sucked tuning the engines for clutch engagement and what not...

My curiosity is piqued. I may need to investigate these further in person.

Here's an idea, tell your buddies at Traxxas if they give ME one, I will arrange a demo at Texas Raceway. During oil downs, it would be something for people to watch too. And it doesn't seem too impossible to have races there too. On days when there is no big car racing, the track wouldn't have any expense to be open. So it might be cheap to rent or have races.

I'll have to check them out in person. Looks cool and I'm sure it'll get a lot of people into rc drag racing.

I like traxxas as they continue to make good products, and seem to know what the market wants.

I wish there was a track around here, I don't know that I'd throw down $500.00 for one of these, but I have other cars I could race! Going to Mike's Thursday for my first race in VTA (Vintage Trans Am) with the Camaro. I drag race slot cars in River Oaks too.

I'm trying to sale my vta if anybody is interested. Just bind it to your radio and install battery and it's ready to race for 275. I believe it's an x ray t2r. Ran up front with it everytime I ran it. Just need to free up some coin for my Losi scte. Ready for the j concepts race at mikes this weekend.

I wish I had stayed in the hobby, I always wanted to get into the on-road stuff, but I lived out in the sticks. Maybe one day I'll drop the cash

I'm in Arlington, I might be interested in some stuff....cheap....?
I sure would like an X Ray, they sure are good! I'm just starting out in this part of the hobby, and over-spent on the HPI Sprint 2 Sport I have. Lucky I can race it with the stock brushed motor until I place well, then I have to upgrade it (slow it down?) to brushless. Not going to happen anytime soon!
