In the bigger cities you seen those euro model womens... especially in Paris. But outside of that you mostly see what you see here. The most attractive women per capita in Europe from my own personal experience was Germany, without a doubt.

Yeah, that was Guinness, a tourist trap. The real pubs were full of gingers and there were some good ones. Dublin is a great city for a single guy, it seemed there were a lot more women there than men.

Very cool pics and trip. I would love to go there, but sounds like a trip that having a local along would be helpful.

            Very jelly Danny.

Awesome Danny! I need to get over there, my Grandma's parents were Maher's right off the boat. I need to run some lineages and see what family I can dig up.

Cool pics, I'm not much of a traveler, so this right here will be my only trip to Ireland. Looks beautiful over there. It must rain a lot.

Nah. The locals speak English and are very friendly so you always have someone to talk to. We stayed at bed and breakfasts, not hotels, so the keepers were helpful in suggesting local things to do.

Man, there were ancestry services all over the place in Ireland. Apparently there are good records for at least the past 1000 years, probably because the Brits wanted to keep track of their taxpayers.

Nope. Decided to skip it. I don't think I missed much, kissing rocks ain't my thing. But I wish we had seen the Giants Causeway (not my photo).

It does. Let me tell ya man, if you want to travel, then do it while you CAN. My parents have joint/bone ailments that make it really hard for them to get around. They've been travelling regularly for the past 20ish years but I'm not sure how many more they can do without major surgery. You only live once, so get out of the house every now and then.

I hadn't originally planned on kissing it, but woke up with a raging hangover (well, every morning, but a particularly bad one that day) and needed something chill to do. Looking back, leaning over backwards and kissing a dirty rock when you have a hangover isn't such a great idea. Cork and Cobh were a blast. Wish I would have had more time there to explore more, and swing the shillelagh a bit more.
Oh, and if you had needed a cab in Cork, you could have called "far tree far, farty far, tirty far". I'll remember that till the day I die.

                            Awesome pics, btw!

Awesome; I am also of Irish decent and would love to go there one day. Been to London once, but never got into Ireland and out to the countryside like I wanted. Damn it is green there. Thanks for sharing!

Great pics! Was sitting here enjoying a cold Guiness when I saw your thread. I have some scenery pics from my trip in 2009 but didn't want to take over your thread with my pics. Giant's Causeway and other Antrim coast sights are definitely worth a trip to the north - drove from the midlands to the north and back down through Londonderry before driving out to Galway then south along the coast to Cork, and checked out Blarney Castle as well. Did a day trip to Dublin but never made it to Belfast.

Cliffs of Mohr and Ring of Kerry was pretty cool too.
