hope nobody comes by my office for a few minutes, gotta recompose myself!

for anyone interested my father and step mother run a rescue that deals with animals like this every day. they retired to mexico and after seeing how many dogs are turned out, abused, neglected, etc. they started an organization to rescue the dogs, rehab them, then adopt them to forever homes here in the states. they invest a ton of time and money into the effort (literally driving the dogs from mexico to the states). they have rescued and adopted 490 dogs since 2001.

here is their website if interested:

Yeah, that got to me. My current dog was a stray that we took in, bathed, hair cut, took to the vet for chip check and check up/shots, ended up keeping him, got him fixed and he's one of the best behaved dogs we've had. The before on this video is close to what he looked like when we found him. He's a yorky, hair was long, matted, tangled with burs, fleas, mud, you name it he had it stuck in his hair...
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776
