Regulations here..... http://www.texasmile.net/rulesregulations.php
Going to edit this a bit.....
All tires must have an equal (or greater) Load Carrying Rating and Speed Rating than the original (OEM) manufacturer’s requirement.
5.6.2 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: The use of tires with better ratings than OEM is recommended.
5.6.3 Drag radials (DOT spec) are not approved.
5.6.4 Drag racing (DOT-spec) “skinnies” are not approved.
I just spent only like 10 minutes reviewing the rules and didn't see anything that implied intent or "you can't run funny cars" so now I'm VERY curious. Why not run a CRAZY fast 1/4 mile car here?!??!! Other than skinnies and radials? As suggested. Just change the gear ratio in the rear/tranny and you're on top... right???? (Yeah, I know I'm getting into weird land speed/salt flat record area here....) Also, I do realize that after about 200mph you're pushing more air than ground. I get that, but dville's question still has merit here, I think.Last edited by Darren M; 03-27-2012, 10:46 PM.Originally posted by Taya Kyle, American GunThere comes a time when honest debate, serious diplomatic efforts, and logical arguments have been exhausted and only men and women willing to take up arms against evil will suffice to save the freedom of a nation or continent.

i didn't even mention that wolfe is doing it in a fox body, not really the most aerodynamic vehicle ever built!
