Sucks I have a disc brake conversion and pwr sterring set up for a 67-68 at work all brand new i pulled off a car.
Only the true GT, Shelby, and K-code cars had the front disc brakes, but disc brakes from the '75-'79 Comet/Maverick/Granada family can be converted pretty easily if you decide to keep it for long.
Now, the 9" that fits that is a whole different story...K-code cars and Shelby's only. Maybe something newer might fit in the rear?

I work on so many of these cars it makes my pockets over flow with $$.

Thanks for all the sheet metal work you sent to me, they do still send me work from over there every once in a while.

        Nice car

There are a ton of brake and rear end options now. Back in the day (mid 90's) when I did my brakes, Granada was about the only way to go, but now there are several different, better ways to go.

If/when I do mine again, I'll probably go with these that use SN95 Cobra brakes. http://www.ultrastang.com/products4.php

There are a few different ways to get an 8.8 under a classic. Most of them involve shortening one axle of an Exploder rear and welding spring perches on it. Doable, but for some reason I have a mental block on that one. Somebody like Kevin (Homealone) will tell you it's stupid simple and cheap. Maybe it is but it makes me go cross-eyed. Probably the reason that the rear is the only thing I haven't replaced on mine.

The Ranger 8.8's are a little bit more narrow I think. What WMS does a 65 have?

I'm about to undertake the 8.8 swap in mine. With geared, posi 8" centers going for $1k, I'll mod something first. The only upgrade no mod swap is a 59 wagon 9" (what Shelby used).
I used the Opentracker Granada swap for my front disks. $400 seemed worth it at the time and will fit behind 15's .
The first thing I would do is convert it to a GM style internal regulated alt and maybe an electronic ign. Have fun, parts are plenty but to beef it up will cost you an arm and a leg.

I'm curious if the passenger side vent heater box door is hinged on the side or top. Top hinge is early 65. Looks well optioned with a/c, rocker moldings. With a passenger side mirror, it might have the visibility package. (padded visors, 2 speed wipers. Doesn't look to have the day/night mirror though).

I don't know why in the hell anyone would add a vinyl top, but at least it looks to be in good shape. Do the cowls leak?

One thing you got wrong: it wasn't built in Dallas. That might be the original DSO (District Sales Office), but it was either Dearborn or San Jose. With that early date and parts, I would put my money on Dearborn.

What does the engine compartment look like?
I'll get pics of the engine bay its really clean gold valve covers and air cleaner

                        Unsure on the cowl leaking.

Best thing about those cars is the ac placement. After a hot day that shit blows up your shorts and cools your balls.
