  • My 1965 Mustang

    289 2v,c-4,280 rearend,factory yellow,built in Dallas in oct 1964
    a/c,Black std interior,console. vinyl top that was added around 2001
    zero rust was garage kept.

      Under-dash AC and SS wheels. Big options in those days. I cut my teeth on the old school Mustangs, and still love 'em.

            I wish it had disc brakes and power steering

            Sucks I have a disc brake conversion and pwr sterring set up for a 67-68 at work all brand new i pulled off a car.

                        Looks pretty sharp, Jeremy. That car looks close to the early(64.5)/regular production cut off. It's got the old clip style door handles and window cranks. I'm curious if the passenger side vent heater box door is hinged on the side or top. Top hinge is early 65. Looks well optioned with a/c, rocker moldings. With a passenger side mirror, it might have the visibility package. (padded visors, 2 speed wipers. Doesn't look to have the day/night mirror though).

                        I don't know why in the hell anyone would add a vinyl top, but at least it looks to be in good shape. Do the cowls leak?

                        One thing you got wrong: it wasn't built in Dallas. That might be the original DSO (District Sales Office), but it was either Dearborn or San Jose. With that early date and parts, I would put my money on Dearborn.

                        What does the engine compartment look like?
