Here is my 7 year old Kimber. She is a great dog and very very smart. She weighs about 90 lbs.
This is mine and my families 5th shepherd, so needless to say we love them. We just had to put my moms shepherd down a couple months ago. She was 11 or 12.
Best dog ever. I'll probably get a black/tan one eventually too. This dog (Runner) lives in Montana with my folks. He grew up out there, and gets too hot down here. I miss that dog as much as anything else about Montana.
I love German Shepherds and will probably own one again when one or both of our current pups pass. The only reason we went with labs was because of Leah's daughter being so young.
I grew up with 2 different shepherds, though they were both slight mixes. They had the normal shepherd looks and personalities but neither were full breed. They were both incredible dogs, though one was very afraid of guns so we always had to put him in the garage when we were shooting. Very protective, very smart, good hunters..
Leah's brother just got a full breed from a really good breeder last year. Until that I forgot how clumsy and dopey they are as puppies.

Looks like you need to trim her diet back a little bit, looks like she's carrying some excess weight.
Best dog ever. Zero issues, well except thunderstorms but I'm working on that. She is like my shadow. The perfect watch dog, guardian, companion, laid back but capable of anything.
She was found with a chain embedded in her neck, and it only took me a few weeks to train her off leash. I keep her pretty lean since they have a tendency to have hip problems.
my german shepherd (sebastian) will be 12 on april 1st...he is a great dog and very smart! we've never done much of any house training, but we've always been able to leave him n the house without worrying that he'll do anything (chew, pee, etc). he's also great with kids! he likes to walk right next to them, and he's very protective of them. he doesn't growl or anything like that, but when you walk up to my son, for instance, he'll stand up and walk between you and him, and he'll watch what you do. even when my wife is playing with my son, he wants to see what's going on, as if to make sure that you're not hurting him. it's really cool to see. anyway, they're great dogs...i can't say enough good things about mine!
