  • yay or nay on my tinted lights?

I did some VHT tinting on my lights today. Should I leave it original leave them tinted. Sorry the pics are not the best, its been a long day. I can always undo this. This was VHT 3 coats on the headlights, 4 coats on the tail lights.

I was bored, and I had 3/4 of a can of VHT. I felt bad doing the headlights, as they are factory ford lights, and I spent a pretty penny on them lol.

I would have left the headlights alone and would have bought the smoked grey headlight set from latemodel just to see if you liked them. Now ur stuck with a good set of stock headlights smoked lol. Doesnt look bad thougj

I think I like it, but it may help to clean the Vaseline off of the camera lens before snapping pics.

LOL just bustin' balls. I figured it was a close up, low light, cell phone pic and that's why it looked a little blurry.

I like em but after you hit the up with a buffer they totally change. Mine look like a dark candy red after I buffed them. Did you clear coat?

No I have always found it to leave it blurry. I compounded the crap out of it, they really cleared up. They looked nice and clear, just hate how VHT turnes clear lens blue. That is why I did it light. I have some crystal clear paint.

I would clear them, protects the tint. The buff them. I'm telling you, my tailights look outstanding buffed. I need to do my third brake light now to match and convert to LEDs. Another idea is to try some red glass spray paint. It's transparent and gives the red lenses a custom, deep candy look.
