All of the fronts are either silver stars or led. I spent big money a few years ago to make them as bright as I could get them, with out hid.

I did that to my tail lights years ago. And its still holding up. I like it. Been wanting to smoke out the fronts to. Just never did. But mine is a race car and no street time

How do y'all keep the clear from looking foggy? I have never had good luck with it laying real smooth.

I used the duplicolor enamel clear. Lay on a few good coats and call it good. The RIGHT way is to put black pigment in clear and spray with a big gun. But I have done the above method with great results.

Mine, disregard the built up compound.

As stated before, vht until it's too dark, wet sand until it's the right darkness, then clear/wetsand again.

I have some 1500 grit wet sand paper. Is this to much or should I go higher grit?

Not a fan of tinted lights. It goes against the very purpose of lights.

That's perfectly fine. Just clear it quite a bit so you can get it flat without sanding through.

I found some pics of the trans am:

unsanded on left, wetsanded/polished on right.

Both of these have a slight tint with VHT.

Try to find a clear which is UV protected if you can. Standard krylon will work, but it will need to be polished every 6 months to a year from UV damage.

Ok, I will do that, I have rustoleum clear now, and it left the lights looking blurry, even after compound the crap out of them.
