I've done both and I can definitely say drag racing is more expensive.. track fees, tires, fuel, parts... breaking shit..

This is why I could not enjoy off-roading/racing a newer vehicle or anything I had financed.

Yeah agreed... I don't know how that gets covered on insurance.

            Where was the accident?

            Barnwell Mountain Off-road Park.

            denied.

            Cooper and Arkansas.

Why is there dirt, grass, and rocks in the paint/bodywork?

            denied.

Rollovers are not a big deal...

Hood, fenders, windshield, straighten cage, soft top.

Oh, and don't wheel with a hardtop, mkay?

I have friend whom in high school crashed hard off roading. He simply told the insurance company it happened at the deer camp and he ran off a gravel road. It did happen at a deer camp. They covered everything no problem. I'd imagine it is way easier to fix offroad damage than damage occurring at a drag strip.

                ...

At least he can go out and have fun without worrying about a few dents and scratches now.

lol you say that, but my wife cracked a fender flair on her JK (hit the driveway gate), had it repaired... then my son proceeded to scratch the shit out of it getting out of the car. Now she doesn't care about it

Thanks to the dumbass behind the camera telling him to "give it what she's got"...

You don't throttle down like that unless you are sure that you won't do something like the guy just did, and when you do throttle it, be ready to back out as fast as you went in.

It all depends on how smart you are with your money and your resources. An insurance company would spend around 10k to fix that. but you could probably fix that for around 3k if you're smart.

Damn! Guess he'll pay a little more attention to the terrain next time!

No doubt the guy was sick to his stomach, as that looked like a nice Jeep. Had my nine year old wanting one...

I was laughing at that guy ... Overweight, military hair cut, open carrying, and overly loud.
