I'm hoping the WX is good enough to go flying Sunday. I need to fly off a couple hours, and change the oil.

Let me know when we can do this! I'll go any direction. I'm going tomorrow with my Dad, no where special. Just going to go poke some holes in the sky.
I think there is a new place in Gainseville. Area 51 is the name of the place. Lancaster re-opened their Diner, its a pretty good burger place. Northwest Regional has a place thats pretty good, as well. I havent tried Cedar Mills, I'm okay with trying out new ones. I'm pretty regular at Hard 8, love that place.Last edited by Rotortrash; 12-25-2010, 08:05 PM.

Here's a vid I took (cheezy iPhone vid) of a Mig 23 Flogger out at Lancaster.

Cedar Mills ROCKS. They rebuilt the restaraunt and it is pretty nice. If you guys want a bad ass place to fly into for lunch, look at Gastons Fishing Resort in Northern Arkansas.
But for a local $100 hamburger, its hard to beat Cedar Mills. I'll post up some pics from our camping trip up there later tonight.

Is Cedar Mills the runway that is East-West, East end goes off in the Lake? Eat at the Marina restaraunt?
Edit: Yes, it is. Should have looked it up first. I have been there, they do a fly-in every year that is one of the best I've ever been to! I beleive it is als an FAA safety seminar, as well.
I'm DEFINATELY in to go there!Last edited by Rotortrash; 12-27-2010, 08:47 AM.

And to the OP, nice looking airplane.

I've had to replace the windows on a UH1H, what a bitch. Especially the chin bubbles. The damn things never fit exactly.

One of these days I'll learn to google first, THEN post! I was wrong, its at Grayson County airport, in the Sherman/Denison area, NOT Gainesville.Last edited by Rotortrash; 12-27-2010, 09:08 PM.
