  • What do y'all use for recording?

I need to make videos, walking property tours (houses, apartments, etc), nothing terribly fancy or produced, but my camera (canon powershot SD1400 IS digital elph) creates HUGE files. I need something that will creat a smaller file (I could compress it, but I'm limited on knowledge here).

    Suggestions? THanks!

I also have a little "FLIP" recorder, it's 3 or 4 years old, no idea how to use it (never have played with it)

Is there not a setting on your camera to change the size/quality of the image it captures?
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

There is, but I use it more for photos, and I need them to be large. I bet I have an older one I can try it on though.

Bought my daughter a flip for Christmas last year...small, cheap, and very affective for what it is.

I've got a Sony Webbie for video. It's OK, the only thing I don't like is that it uses Sony's memory stick instead of a typical SD card.

Just import the video from the powershot into Windows Movie Maker, then save it and you can make the file smaller, small enough to post online, or email, etc.
