  • Barn Yard Finds!

Well, okay it wasn't in a barn, but an old Storage unit in SW Ft. Worth.

A widow had a husband that bought many cars over his lifetime. This is the first time I have gone to help my dad bring one out and get it ready to get running again.
The cars he has worked on range from a pristine 1953 Austin Healey down to a pair of 1960's Mini Coopers.

Anyways, this weekend we pulled a car out of one of the units and delivered it to the widows house until we can get the 1947 Ford up and running and sold.

Here are the before/after photos as it was DIRTY. This is a 1954 Ford Crestline

There was also a Triumph in there as well. I'm thinking we will try our best to get it working, but we aren't motorcycle people...but an engine is an engine and Google is our best friend.

That thing cleaned up nice. I would love to have a cruiser like that.

I miss the barn find I stumbled upon...1972 Gran Torino Sport 351C. The guy had the window sticker, etc...it was identical to the one in the movie

Wow...cleaned up really good. The dash especially. When was the last time it was on the road, do you know?

                      1992

It goes without saying it doesn't run right now. Fuel tank was FULL of old gas (man that stuff smells terrible). All wheel cylinders will have to be replaced, old hoses replaced, maybe master cylinder. E-brake and clutch/tranny work great.

It did clean up nicely, the interior is almost perfect. Very good condition.

I think my favorite is still the 1947 Ford. Suicide doors FTW
