              I hated it when I first saw it but it's grown on me big time. It's pretty badass as to how many different environments you can use it in and you can definitely see how well it works.

                    A softer kinder DFWMUSTANGS Thats really a stand up thing to do, most people would have let the poor fellow suffer and die. Hopefully his shell will come back and eventually shed the fiber glass. If not you extended his life and probably saved him some pain.

                      IMHO, it will probably die from infection... but if it doesn't then eventually the fiberglass will fall off as it heals. I don't know how it all works, but I'm sure it will be similar to using super glue to close up a wound. Over the years, I've used super glue several times and after 3-4 days the super glue falls off once the body does its thing.

                      Now in the case of the turtle, I could see it taking months (if ever) for things to heal up. During which the patch should fall off.
