you stick a bar between the top of the mount and the lower rail of the chassis, for the love of god don't put heat down near the main rail.

I ended up just using the ratchet strap and not the heat, it was easier to bend than I anticipated. It is just a cheap toy to play with at the local track, no serious racing. For $100 a year here you get a key to the track and can go whenever you want.

My suggestion is leave the engine stock unless you know a lot about TBI tuning and willing to have the headaches or going carb. I did a similar setup in my 93 and been messing with it for almost a year trying to get it to run right. I used a RPM airgap intake, 487x heads, and the Edelbrock cam made for those trucks and it was the worst choice I have made. I will be ordering a carb and regulator in a few weeks for it.

Man I appreciate the heads up. It needs a new motor, It just has low oil pressure, But still runs hard. But have heard thats commen on these motors also. I got the Heads on trade & the intake was actually given to me. I was going to run a ShaunT cam for gas mileage. Really was hoping to gain more Mileage & HP at the same time. I really like my TBI motor though. It responded well to the simple Bolt On. I did Elec fan & TB Spacer & Injector Spacer with U/D Crank Pully & exhaust & it has some balls out the hole. But no TOPEND

TBI does suck for top end but after having the problems I wish I was able to salvage the heads and cam. Mine is running super rich all the time and falls on its face on take off or when I stomp on the pedal. I lost the low end but gained great mid range as long as I initially roll into the throttle. They respond well to the Ultimate TBI mods and external bolt ons but don't do well with internal mods. I don't want someone else to have the same problems as I have had with mine even though the TBI swirl port heads and intake suck.
