I just sanded mine down with a DA, few layers of rattle can filler primer ( the better stuff at orielys), sanded againg, then some flat black. Came out new looking.

Yeah I did that to the ones I have now but they don't line up with the body causing gaps and not looking good

I tried that on mine, but I didn't do something right, because the paint started peeling off.
