For his audience, simple is better, it's a small town vibe, play off the Texas/US pride sort of mentality the town has. It's a garage, plain and simple, act like one, and cut out trying to be fancy.

As someone who deals with businesses and artwork/cards/professionalism... you're business card design is exactly what I would expect from a shop run by a bunch of kids. Not to mention seeing an old BMW and Lincoln doesn't exactly fill me with thoughts of quality and professionalism."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler

Ultimately it's your business and you're going to do what you want. However, let me tell you this: large businesses pay a lot of money to hear what consumers have to say. These guys are giving you free priceless information.
If someone handed me a business card with a tacky picture of two 10+ year old cars, I doubt I'd even show up to that shop. If by some miracle I did, and I saw a pool table in the bay (ESPECIALLY if it was being used as a work bench???) I'd turn around and leave.
If you're looking to have your ultimate redneck hangout spot you're well on your way. If you're looking to have a business that people take seriously, I'd take some of the advice given here.
Sell that table and use the money to buy a real work bench. Get your cars out of the bay. Get rid of that picture on the business card and go with something simple and professional.
