Look what I do for a living Eric. I have helped people for a long time, and I will never fix society's ills.

It's nice just to be a positive influence. One that guides junior officers and stands up to make morally right decisions.

Hell, yesterday I spent an hour out on 287 where it merges to I35 near downtown FTW. I hate people that run up to the merge and cut over, and I spent an hour pulling people out of that line and giving them the option to continue on the path that they were supposed to, or getting cited and continuing onto I35. Out of about 20 people given that option, none wanted the paper. I directed about 50 people back onto 287 and you should have seen the reaction from the drivers that had waited in line. I got a plethora of honks, thumbs up, and waves (no, not with a middle finger).

As a supervisor, am I obligated to do this? No.

I get job satisfaction out of helping the little guy. I did not make a single penny of revenue for the city.

Will my actions stop people from ever cutting over that line? No way.

Now back to my point. At least I tried to do something. I made an effort yesterday that was noticed and appreciated.

Eric, I honestly think your psyche is very complicated, but someday you will realize that picking every e-battle will only leave you tired.

I help people fix their cars every day so that they can get to work and support their families. What any of that has to do with with fixing this farce of a country, I have no idea.

You think I go after every single idiotic thing I see said on here? I'd be homeless on the streets by now.

You just piss it away in surcharges instead. Solid plan. Which of us do you think is getting more enjoyment out of that money? You're also under the impression that I drink way more than I actually drink.

I have the opportunity to oversee a fair and prudent application of the laws. The spirit of the law always comes before the letter of the law.

I no way implied that I can fix the country, so I'm content making right what is in my span of control.

If you think that bothers me, you're sadly mistaken. You're just one more of millions of leeches who wouldn't be able to survive without me working. That's fine. I've got a nice 401k, and will be enjoying my retirement while you're still cashing those $300 a week checks, and blowing it on that stripper that "isn't like all the others. She really likes me!"
