Well, scanning through the first and last page of that thread, it looks like he makes some of the machinery from scratch, then goes and plays with it in the basemant. Maybe not as creepy as I first thought. I guess it would be along the lines of build a train and city then playing with it. Kinda cool, kinda odd.

Didn't read the link, but if he is making stuff from scratch to use thats pretty cool. He probably has enough money in his toys to have someone come and dig out the basement for him in 15 weeks...
