i used to love RC flying.. i got the hang of it immediately and took off, landed and flew without any prior instruction. this was way before any of the RC simulators on the computer had come out. I had a couple of nice planes, but once i got old enough for girls, fast cars and other fun things i lost all interest in the sport and sold it all. Wouldnt mind picking up one of those foamies though, those are pretty interesting. I bet with any wind at all they're probably near impossible to fly arent they? Where'd you pick it up at?

While you're waiting for the glue to dry, you should dust the house.

I got mine at Old Town Hobby in Lewisville. The larger foam one can take more wind. they go for around $225 to $260

I fly in Kennedale, from indoor 1/2 ounce planes, to 140mph Pylon racers. I also fly in a field by work, smaller electric stuff (Blue Mound) I've just started running off-road and carpet cars at Mikes ( http://www.mikeshobbyshop.com/ )
This is one of my Vipers.

68RR, I'll give you $20.00 for that junky little green plane!

Well, actually I have enough components to build 2 more. Also have a Cox A-24 that I'm planning to restore/paint like my dad's Sqdns planes.

Wanting to get a B-25 ARF, but a new alternator, cooling fan and rebuild on the MSD box for the coupe have the finances tied up right now.

                            Here's a pic of the -24

Randy, we just fly in the field on Cantrell Sansom Rd beween 820, our building is on that road. No good take off, hand launch only. This is our club in Kennedale, Seven Towers RC Club

AMA and club membership required there, Benbrook is closer to you. But I do like the idea of seeing more speed planes! Maybe one Sunday you could come out.

68RR, if you are not already on this group, here you go http://groups.yahoo.com/group/049Collectors/
