Ok folks so heres the dealio. I was broke, had no job and have a hernia directly above my belly button. Only one of those hasn't changed. Still have the hernia. Mass pain killers and a hernia belt has helped to keep it in check as I await my medical insurance.

I went through a tough spot with nothing and some kind people here helped me through the worst of it. Others behaved like ass hats.

Now I am not in the habit of taking handouts nor am I a lazy person that will go get food stamps and government aid or early SSI or SS. No, I worked my ass off for several months and repaid all my debt then tried to give money to those that sent me "gifts" to help me out in my toughest spots last year. All have declined yet I know there are two people I am forgetting but the info was saved on a now dead PC so for the two people I haven't contacted, if you want the funds back then please PM me and I will send it out ASAP. I still speak to Kyle and he has also refused the $50 back from the $50 he took off the price of the Regal.
I continued to work 7 days a week from sunup to 2am to save and get myself back on my feet. Caught up with all my bills and have zero debt. I finally sold my property so I can open an actual service/performance shop near Waco. Its almost ready and should be open next month.
I payed my help forward and gave a single mom I know a Continental I bought and repaired to help her through tough times. I also gave my best friend a Mark VIII cause his is dead and he has 3 kids. Give a few bucks to the homeless guys on the corner and donated a bunch of furniture to the poor.
Thats not only stuff I do for others (only usually on a smaller scale) to help them get through tough times as others have helped me last year.

Now I am on my feet, own my own shop, have a nice little house (not mobile) in Waco, got a nice car for myself and am debt free.
I suppose I could have let my pain get the best of me and stay at home and say "woalays me" and collect welfare but I decided to make a better life for myself.

I am sorry so many here are against someone trying to better themselves.

Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

And you would be right. Payed less then an 05 Stang GT would have ran. Plus the car has complete repair/service history and is in no danger of being a lemon.
Its quick, comfertable, handles spectacular, looks cool and I can seat clients in it. Also gets 24mpg on the highway and has full coverage.

Now to save up for a couple years and find a used 2013 GT500 for the real toy.

did he offer to pay any of the people back that helped him out in a time of need prior to buying this bmw? Just wondering.

Thanks all. Been a rough road but anything worth getting usually is.

Gonna get the shop off the ground first then go for hernia surgery but work comes first right now.

I really love this car and its nicenot driving a hooptie mobile around any more. LOL

I'm not sure what detector you're using. I know there was a way to integrate a Valentine 1 where the display comes up in the dash(on some models).

I would love a V1 but cant justify the expense for now. Never seen an integration kit. Several people on the e38 forum have V1s but none with what you are talking about.

I just have a Cobra 9070G with GPS. It knows where the speed traps are, photo lights and has a pretty good range. Ive had about a year and its always worked great.

Good to hear you're up and running again (not literally). Nice ride, I'd love to have something classy, even if it was a woman......
