            No I didnt! I'm glad its there. The whine is such a cool noise... On my car it was relatively quiet stock but after the air intake it was twice as loud. That car comes factory with a CAI (shrug) so I thought it would scream.

              There is an air silencer delete kit you can buy to increase the blower whine noise level. They are muffled from the factory for the people who don't like to hear it.

                I like Fords almost as much as I like GM. I dont hate them. Hell Bryan and I almost went in and bought a new 5.0. I dig the shit out of those cars.

                  Good to know you're really not a blind brand loyalist after all. The new 5.0's are great cars they are rather impressive for a regular old run of the mill Stang, I'm enjoying mine. I can't wait to start seeing some of these GT500s and ZL1s do some real world racing rather than all of the magazine stuff to see where they stand.

                  You might be getting another ZL1 to tune hear in the near future. Rumor has it GM gave Jared of RKC a loaner ZL1 for a year.

                    • Meh.. Not worried about the gt500 or the zl1.. Both would make decent "chick cars" for my wife.. Except there isnt a single mustang tuner in dfw i trust... And for the price of the zl1 i could buy a v.

                            GT500 blasts from 0-60 mph in a scant 3.5 seconds, on toward a quarter-mile time of 11.6 seconds at 125.7 mph. For context, the previous GT500, which put out a relatively pedestrian 550 hp and 510 lb-ft, needed 4.1 seconds to reach 60 and 12.4 seconds at 115.8 mph to eclipse the quarter, while the aforementioned ZL1 required 3.8 and 12.1 @ 117.4, respectively. Big power equals big improvements for the GT500. But beware of that big power: get too overzealous with the throttle, and the tires will quickly resemble burnt toast. Luckily, the new GT500's obscene power is absolutely controllable.
