  • My new 82 fox

Well, I sold my Drifter a few weeks ago, Jim, Steve, and I have been looking for a car. Well, a buddy of Jim's had a nice 82 black Mustang Coupe. Its all new from the wheels up. Meaning the suspenion, brakes, drivetrain, axle, wheels, etc. The body is in good shape with no rust and only paint issues. Interior as you can see is nioce! The motor in the car currently was Jim's buddy's first attempt at a Ford motor and some how it doesn't have oil pressure. I aquired my old 302 that was in my 87 coupe I had in high school over ten years ago (thanks Ryan). We will be swapping out the motors. Nothing fancy in the drivetrain:
80k original mile short block, stock forged pistons, GT40 Cobra heads with minor porting and valve work, E cam, double roller timing chain set, scorpion 1.6 rockers, Performer intake with a holley 600 cfm, shorty headers, flows to tips, built AOD, and an 8.8 with a moderate 3.08 gears. As you can see (my favorite feature of the car outside of its a coupe) that the wheels are police package 10-holes! Or at least painted like that. They are staying put. Little things amuse me... We pick the car up within the week and bring back to the casa where we begin the transplant.

Future plans? Paint and T5 conversion.
P.S. Oh, and this car is not going to be queered up and ever converted to an 87-93 front end... Dumb dumb dumb.

Agreed. Tinting and lowering will happen first. Paint is spenive!

My '88 coupe is white/black with black ten holes and polished caps. I even bought raised white letter BFG's. Oh yeah!

Love it. I've got the itch for another black '79-85. Coupe or hatchback, I don't really care. Just a fun, light V8 car to goof off with.
