i don't think its the kids thats the problem. public schools don't focus on learning anything they just want them to pass the task test or what ever the hell it's called now. and as far as the school is concerned as long as they grade good on that to get the school more money or if they play some sport they could give a shit less what your kid retains from the useless info they are force feed.

They told my son that if anyone made a 90 or better on a section of the test (math, reading, etc) that they would not have to do homework in that subject for the rest of the year.
