Damn shame, that was a nice car.........but it still had those bumper things on the door and fender. What's the story with those?

Like the two posted above, one has them, the other is clean. I never understood why people leave those on. Do they just not see how bad it looks?

My pops bought an '03 triple black convertible and I pointed this out to him. He has since removed them.

As Al said, they were an option... the two cars above are both mine, the top one has NO options, I mean f'in lucky it has AC... The below car has EVERY option, including the ugly ass body side moldings, and yes they are ugly, but a large scratch on a otherwise perfect paint job isn't worth me trying to remove em... I know a heat gun and some plastic pry bars can maybe do it, but Im not willing to risk it. Plus if some dipshit throws their door open itll scratch that and not crack the whole door.

Ahh ok. To each his own, I just though they were kinda funny looking. I guess I don't see the purpose in them other than a little buffer for dipshits parking next to you.

A little heat and a plastic scraper should do the trick, minimal buffing after. My dad's didn't show any scars from them, no paint issues, so I highly recommend removing them.

I know what to bring to a vette event if I want some free beer!

It's the same basic bodystyle as the Z06, but came before (made only in '99 and 00).

Easily identified by the lack of Z06 scoops in front of the rear wheels.

bummer, good thing it was only a c5 and a camaro.. LOL

out of a bazillion corvettes, there are some regular production cars that imported a bit more than that for the whole make and model for a year. I like the frc's though, I'd rock a white c5 z0
