My dad was in the Cowtown Vette club in '01 when the Z06 was released. A local dealer let the club president take the car to the club's group photo meet about a week before the official release date (I think he may have been buying it for his wife). Anyway, they gave him one hour to take the photo and get the car back to the dealer.
Of course they park their brand new Speedway White Z06 where it's almost the only car you see in the pic. Vette people.
And I know,
When the government pays, the government controls.

It depends on how many you have in a certain amount of time. Not 100% sure on the exact parameters, and it may vary by state. My sister had a few over the course of 2-3 years, and she came close to losing her license. I was all for it. Don't want her killing herself and/or others. But, she never had one behind the wheel, and she apparently went long enough without one to be able to keep her license. Now, she hasn't had one in years.
I also know a guy who cannot drive because of them. He had one here at work, got meds, kept his license. 3 or 4 months later, he totalled his F-150 when he had one, drove off the highway, up a big ass hill, and through some people's fence, then part of the way back down the hill, and into a pole. He wasn't hurt bad. Could have been WAY worse. I think he had to give his shit up for a year, and if he doesn't have anymore within that time, he gets it back.
