Joseph Kittinger did it from 102,800 feet and hit 614 miles an hour. Take lots of oxygen!

We launched the payload around 1 pm from Lumpkin, GA on January 16, 2012. The entire flight from launch to landing lasted nearly 2 hours. Maximum altitude was approximately 91,000 feet. It landed just east of I-75 and south of Cordele, GA. Ironically, it decided to land in a small patch of trees surrounded by cotton fields. (We were aiming for the fields.) Luckily, it wasn’t very high up and we were able to recover everything safely. It was fun! (:

          Very, very cool.

You want to know something depressing? She was born in 1994.

And she is already smarter than most people on this forum.

            1996.

She's been accepted to MIT as a 16yo. Crazy.

I thought I saw that mentioned, but then couldn't find it.

Then I started thinking it was all the MIT'16 references that confused me.

So yeah, only 16 and smarter than at least one DFWM'er.

Hey man!I think instead she should have pumped some iron in her mother's basement , smoked a few ciggs, and wrote out "MIT" in a burnout in a diesel truck. Way cooler.

One of out how many? Don't be too impressed, other "tubers" just make shoes or cheaply decorated their tubes. This girl is definitely the exception.

Agreed. They'll let anyone into MIT, and what have MIT grads ever done in the world?

She attached a device to a weather balloon. Big deal (10:1 says she even got the idea from a commercial where they do the same thing). I guess the interesting part though is being able to accurately predict where it would land when coming back down to land. I'm still smarter then every person on this board tho.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

You may think you're smart but everybody on this board knows you're a dumbass.
