  • Saleen Blower GI Joe 8 rib kit installed. More boost less belt slip :)

Finally got the 8 rib kit installed after a visit to the dyno with my new engine. I was getting bad belt slip above 4k rpm and it wouldn't make boost above 11psi.

The new setup includes a 2.95" blower pulley and a 15% over driven crank pulley.

I'm willing to bet it can hold its own.

I finally have the engine ready to go back in the 08 GT. Hoping I can get it dropped in next weekend. Some of you might remember my other thread: New engine:

                  It's a series VI. FYI.

Before it blew up it made 475 rwhp and after the engine build it made 466 rwhp but the tune is way off and the belt was slipping badly.

I sure this doesn't compare to anything you have but it suits me just fine.

If you don't mind me asking, who did the tune before it went "boom bitch"

Looks like a nice setup. Amazing how many pulleys that setup uses.

No problem. JDM did the tune but I don't believe it to be there fault. I honestly think its a combo of to much stress on the short block and my aggressive driving style.

Yeah it's all ford parts aside from the blower pulley and crank pulley. GI Joe did I nice job putting it together.

yah my lil beater does 450 on pump and has 4 less cylinders. Nice build thread though. I like stirring the pot

Do you know if that setup will work on a 5.4?

Right now I'm doing 460rwhp on 93 and 500rwhp on 93/100 mix. in my F-150 Would love to get that setup for when I finally put my new engine in.
