Of course. But to do it is considered rude, mean and overly aggressive. It's a technique that can do some serious damage very quickly. You can can completely destroy an opponents knee for life in a matter of seconds with a heelhook. Kimuras are a personal favorite of mine and I've gotten really good with chokes this last year.
