I luckily never had any dealings with Unique myself, but I knew from the first time I met Sanderson he was very likely a crook....kind of reminded me of a shady home-builder. But I've mostly always kept my opinion to myself on that whole operation....they had a great facility and could certainly have made way better out of what was started there if greed hadn't taken over. That said...I'm not one on the bandwagon you describe...don't know who the board member was much less the circumstances. But I have always stuck to my opinion that those cars missed the mark for me. The ricer treatment was over the top in the movie, and it's still over the top today...but also as played out as a fat girl at last call.

However, it's still a 67/68 fastback which is always good in my book...add that cool suspension setup and some balls under the hood, and it's still a notable car...albeit not my taste for asthetics....but obviously in the taste of a lot of other folks out there....otherwise they wouldn't have ruined so many 7/8 fastbacks to make them, nor would they still be today.

EDIT: ...regardless of my taste, I'll also agree that the car posted above looks to be well executed by it's builder.

Nice job on that car but like Reemo says... too much rice influence, and the whole franchise has now been tainted by Sanderson/Unique debacle.

That car would be much nicer and more desirable in Wimbleton White less all the Elenor bling.

They also started butchering any 67/68 coupes they could get their hands on and (with shitty fab skills) turning them into fastbacks.

I like parts of that car and of course the old fastbacks are the tits any way you look at them. That particular car is pretty clean too.

What I don't like is the customer base that the idiots at Unique catered to. You can see these same douche bags rolling in whatever car is the flavor of the month for the "bro crowd". They ruined that specific car along with the idiots who made that horrible, horrible movie. I appreciate the original movie a lot more than that pile of shit in a film can.

I wouldn't mind owning a car like the one in question, although parts of it will be toned down and it would be 20 years from now when every idiot doesn't call it fucking "Eleanor".

First off, FUCK Unique Performance owner(s).

Car looks sweet. If it were mine it would have a 4v and wider rims tires, regular grills, no giant fogs,no blue turn signals and no stripes.

Just another Eleanor clone. I actually owned a 67 Fastback with a 390 in it in 1999 before that film came out(Non S-Code though; it had been retrofitted). Sucks that so many fastbacks have been ruined to make clones of it.

Original color was Playboy Pink, one of 6 known at the time, long ago repainted before I got ahold of it:

I hated that movie from day one. Mainly because of Nick Cage. But also because they remade one of my favorite car movies of all time. I knew with Nick Cage it was going to be a steaming hot pile of dung.

Plenty of dirt on those (as I put it years ago) No-talent assclowns. Ask all the people that paid for and didnt receive a car, or Giambi whos piece of shit broke down the day he picked the car up.
