You guys are obviously mistaking Falcon Lake for Lake Amistad. There have been ZERO attacks or murders on Lake Amistad in recent history. Falcon Lake, on the other hand, is the lake where the jet skier got blasted and boats have been attacked. I've lived in Del Rio for almost 4 years now and been on Lake Amistad more times than I can count, and I've never heard of attacks of any kind.

The feds are dropping the ball for border security. It's one of the few jobs the Federal Govt actually has spelled out for them and they fail at it every day. It shows in the border states taking matters into their own hands to secure the border as best they can.

If they came into my shop and asked for volunteers tomorrow I'd be there but they aren't. Texas could call up the militia but I don't see that happening there isn't an officially (by the state) recognized state militia and I don't see them calling up the Texas State Guard which I wish they would do.

I'd be willing to bet the Feds would do some serious bitching if they state called up the National Guard to patrol the border heavily.
