People need to realize that police can use force against another. I guess no one here would have a problem with a penitentiary guard shooting an escaping prisoner with a rifle?
No problem at all. That person has already been convicted and sentenced and are trying to escape. The problem comes when the police smack someone in the head because they 'aren't listening.'

I can see everything.
"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin "A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler
Yet I saw nothing that required a strong pimp hand to the face. If the tables were reversed, she'd have been tazed into submission, a knee in the back of her neck and probably some good armbars for good measure. Force should go both ways. If a cop pops me and gets away with it, it should be perfectly fine to do the same.
A badge should not grant you special power of force.

A little over dramatic wouldn't you say? Two trained deputies cannot handle one female who is mildly resisting? Oh wait, it was a "distraction strike" right?

So you are OK with a person being executed for trying to escape from a non-violent felony like credit card fraud?

Those deputies don't look very "trained" and the only thing the female deputy was good for was holding up a uniform.
You have no idea how to deal with non-complaint people. You give them verbal commands, go hands on, then use the minimum amount of justifiable force. If it takes a distraction strike, then it is justified.
That was a pretty decent sized woman. It looks excessive, but there is no telling what she was about to do, and she certainly wasn't just going with whatever they were telling her. Only thing that makes me think it isn't on the up and up is what happened after with the guy threatening the vet.
