By the way, I do believe this officer was charged with assault and is being tried.

I like this guy's comment:
I for one am appalled by the number of hip-shooting, armchair quarterbacking, second-guessing witch hunters posting on here! Thank God none of them are on this guy's jury! Not one person posting on this video knows the totality of the circumstances nor are they looking at it with the objective reasonableness standard granted us by Grahamn v Conner. You doubt me? Read the case law, then read some of these posts. Here's the real skinny. ANYTIME someone uses force & it's caught on video, it looks bad. Why? Use of Force is nothing more than justifiable violence. We are allowed & in many cases OBLIGATED to use violence on people. All violence is ugly. You doubt me? Ask anyone who's been in a real fight for their life. Go ahead. Ask. Anyone with a brain in their head & with a shred of sanity will tell you just how awful the experience was for them. Even if they ultimately won. One thing you can clearly see is the SUSPECT STARTED this.! She ACTED! He REACTED! There was no step back & a wind up with that foot. It was a short snapping roundhouse. Having trained in TKD myself, it's hardly a "lethal force" kick. Check the case law on deadly force as applies to cops too. You need to educate yourself before posting a comment on something like this. Why? Because one day, YOU may be in that hot seat all because you used what you thought was reasonable at the time, in that place & under those conditions. And it got caught on video.
And, this kinda ties into the comments I made here:
Wow, no way he can say it was out of self defense on this one. She may have been verbally assaulting him, but there were two officers to one woman. Not cool. http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhvvqUN45rNQy4vm30
Police can use force against another, even as much as people don't like it, it's justifiable.Last edited by 03trubluGT; 01-13-2012, 07:50 AM.
