Detroilet needs to be walled off and have a documentary-style Snake Plisken movie made.

Detroit will be similar to those towns you see in Iraq or Iran, when they cut off the public services (water, electricity). There's a very large muslim populace there, and they're used to living like that anyway.

I was watching that video when a co-worker of 30+ years of experience walked in and started watching it. He said the same exact thing, that Dallas is on it's way there too....

Dallas is just soo patchy. 2500 dollar a month apartments where I live, (I dont pay that ofc) but less then a mile down the street we have the park lane ghetto. They come here to rob people. Seems like every month we get letters on our door saying to be cautious because another person was robbed close to us. Thats why we have our CHL licences now!

Can you distinguish the most liberal city in America, ruled by the hard-left for forty years, from a third-world hellhole devastated by two decades of civil war?

                        Let's play a game...

                        Detroit or Mogadishu?

I grew up in Detroit and go back twice a year. Once a year is for Woodward (the largest car show in the world). Just like any major city there are places that are not safe. I always say it is a good place to be from.

My brother and I were riding through a bad part of town to chack out a body shop I used to work at. We pass a few miles of mostly burned out buildings. He asked, "Is this what a war zone looks like?" My reply was, "yes with out the bomb blast damage."

It is sad, when I left at the age of 17 in 1987 I told my remaining family that there would be no cars built in Detroit by the time I die or sooner. They are well on the way to proving me right.

Do not get me started on the unions. If you are pro union think about this. Detroit and MI in general has thousands of trained auto workers that need jobs. There are auto plants that have moved to the US over the last 20 years and none of them have located in MI.

Could be the weather or the unfriendly business climate.

Sad to se so many great buildings bombed out and people with little hope.

                          Go Red Wings!!!

They filmed the remake of Red Dawn in Detroit because it looked like a war zone.
