I got over that years ago.

I've got too much time in to make a change. Next month is my 20th anniversary and I can leave in 5, but will work an extra 5 to make my retirement work for me.

Small towns don't provide much action. They are ate up with boredom, and end up working traffic to make time go by. I don't want to be a traffic cop.

I have ten years in and I just do not think I want ten more of this same ole same ole. I am eyeballing a smaller town that is growing by leaps and bounds so it may be a good opportunity. If we end up in another recession in the next few years things are gonna be bad where I am and I do not want to be around for that. I think it will make my next ten to fifteen go by faster starting somewhere new. I love being a police officer but really firefighter is where its at. LOL Maybe I should look into that. HAHA

Most fire marshals do have a badge in Texas. The guy that was fire marshal at my city before the budget crunch kept telling me there are two courses I would need for most cities along with being LE. He loved his job and was there about 30 years before politics got him.
