The man who escaped police on New Year's Eve — after another man attacked police in a videotaped assault — has been arrested, according to court records.

Shershallan Bond-Brooks, 40, was taken into custody Thursday and faces multiple charges, including escaping arrest, assault and disorderly conduct.

Bond-Brooks lives in the 700 block of N. Milton Ave., near the intersection of Milton Avenue and East Monument Street, where his attempted arrest on Dec. 31 took place in the Milton-Montford neighborhood of East Baltimore
