Thanks for the advice. By the way did you ever find that fox lx bumper you told me about?

Here are a couple that got an omni urethane clear

Last but not least, the 1:12th camaro I will probably never finish

I haven't. I'm heading to my storage unit next week, I will see what I can find. I may have some junker bodies that would be good for some of your builds that we could work a deal on as well

Don't know if this will help any, but my striping paint is an enamel and I use PPG DTR602 enamel reducer to thin the paint. It's a medium temp reducer and works great in all weather conditions.

I use mineral spirits to clean my brushes. I originally used it to reduce the paint but the actual enamel reducer seems to work better.

Lol, thanks for all the input guys. All this thinning and mixing stuff is new to me. All my other stuff has been rattle canned. But I'm all about the air brush now. I've already discovered a few trick to making my junkers look more real. And black2002ls, let's talk deals.

That was back when I was still building a lot. The base is dupli color from the can, the clear is omni urethane clear. I got pretty proficient at laying it down and not needing much buffing/sanding. IIRC, after the clear cured on that car, it got polished with some zymol wax and sent on to its new owner. I forgot how awesome those headlights looked until I pulled up the pictures of it.

Sending you a PM. I found some of the fox body casts that I had left over. Most of them are crap, I found one good rear bumper. Maybe I will come across the molds one day soon. I did however, pull all of my large scale (1:12th) out of storage. Maybe I will get a bench built for my new house pretty soon and get back to building. I have one of the new 1:12th GT500 kits coming. The engine and various other parts will be used to finish my '65 mustang. I'm thinking with the remaining shell I will go full race and build a road race version with full tube chassis.....

One thing I have learned on the large scale kits. If you are spraying a metallic type paint, it is very hard to not end up with tiger stripes on the large surface with a low volume air brush. I've considered a couple of times finding a small HVLP set-up to spray them with so that they come out even
