Very nice. I am in the local Olds Club but don't have time to do anything with them. I try to go to a meeting every once in a while.

Well I am currently looking for a new project since this one is wrapping up. I'll jump over to that olds site and take a look. I would be looking for a '70-'72 in that body style, not sure what is was called, but with the slopped rear roof, maybe "S" body? It's been too long.

Got the registration on it last night, will be getting the inspection hopefully Friday. Still a bunch of little things to do on it before then.

Turned out great! You should try to get it in a magazine.
I would tint it anyway. There are 50% and 70% films on the market that almost look like no tint is on the car but you still get the much needed UV protection.

Thanks Eric, and thanks for your contribution to the sound system.

We talked about this tonite, and he wants to tint the windows. I'll have to look into those options here shortly.

I like the look of tint on a car, mine has 20% all around and IMO looks great. Now my car is more of a modern look but still. Have you looked to see if they make anything to replicate the antique green glass? It's just a slight hint of color.

I just tinted my car Saturday with 20% all the way around and I have to say I wish I had done it sooner.

I wasn't a fan of the tint on a classic but it definately can look good. He wants to tint them but wasn't sure which tint to look at. I know a guy that does tinting and we'll probably talk to him. I'll have to do some research on it before hand to find the right look. I'm a fan of the euro style slight silver tint, but on this car I'm not totally sure what would look good.

I hope the sun comes out Saturday so I can get some good pictures. I still have to put the rocker trim on and most of the holes were covered in the painting process, so it's gonna be a pain to find them. Not sure the best method but I'll get it done.

I would go black tint. IMO any other color would make it look busy. Hell, I once had 2% on my car, what a pain that was to have.

lol, hey it looks good on certain cars. It's not so much silver, as it is reflective. It's 3m reflective I believe. I used it on an Audi I had and it looked good. None of my vehicles have tint currently.

Just opinion here of course, but window tint on a classic sucks. Period.

Most of the time spent driving, it should have the windows rolled down anyway. If you're tinting a classic's windows because it's hot, you're missing the point and should consider a nice Civic or Accord.

Agreed. Also have a good time finding and keeping an unscratched window that doesn't look 10 times worse with any shade of window tint on it.

I said NO. No silver tint.

Yes, scratches will not look awesome with tint on them so make sure your glass is not scratched and the guides are replaced in the door. Problem solved.

                              Alrightalright! No silver.

It has all the original glass in it except for the windshield, so I would want it to stay as it has for 45 years, un-tinted.

I also agree that every time you drive a car like this the windows should be down unless its freezing.

I tinted mine because it sucked driving at night. I also wanted protection for the interior when it is out in the sun. Also I think if the classic is bone stock then no tint, but if it is or slightly resto modded then tint looks good.
